2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps, better known by his stage name 2 Chainz, is a well-known American rapper and hip hop artist. Georgia native, he formed the hip hop duo Playaz Circle together with a high school friend. Their first album, 'Supply and Demand', was a modest success. Epps later released 'Based on the T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It became a massive success, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200. It sold 147,000 copies in the first week! Since the release of his album it was impossible to go back. He became famous as one of America's most well-known hip-hop artists. He's been nominated six times for Grammy Awards, the most recent of which was for his song "No Problem". When he was discovered to be in possession of marijuana and promethazine and was arrested aboard a plane departing Los Angeles International Airport in 2013. The incident hasn't had any effect on his popularity. His fourth and most recent studio album, titled "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" was released in June 2017. "Based on a T.R.U. Story, 2 Chainz’s debut studio album could be considered to be his debut major album and his biggest success. The album was an enormous hit and climbed to the top of the US Billboard 200. The album was also sold out within a few weeks. It eventually sold 623,000 copies during the year. The album, with songs that were a hit, including "No Lie' and 'Birthday Song' and'I'm Different' was also nominated for 'Best Rap Album', at the 55th Grammy Awards. The reviews were mixed. 2 Chainz married Kesha Warren in the year 2013. The couple has three kids together, Heaven, Harmony, Halo. Despite having a successful career, he is also known for his controversies with law enforcement. He has been arrested many times for drug possession.
