Maureen O'Hara Biography

 Maureen O'Hara is a famous American actor and singer with Irish descent. The beautiful green-eyed beauty with fiery red locks was well-known for her passionate and fiery parts in numerous American films. Her beautiful and glamour was a huge hit and she was popularly known as the "Queen of Technicolor' in Hollywood. Her characters onscreen reflected her brave, strong character which fought for recognition and survival in a male-dominated world. She was referred to as the "tough Irish girl" and refused to compromise her standing or respect to gain the roles she was able to get through merit. She stood up for injustices and unfair treatment of female actors during her film career. She also gained lots of supporters. Her autobiography, "Tis Herself", was published in 2004. The book was an honest and transparent description of her life, and the difficulties she encountered while climbing the ladder to success. She was an adventurous woman who wasn't afraid to try her own stunts. She was an actress in more than 60 films over the years and was the recipient of a fair amount of international fame. She got married in 1968 to Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a former pilot brigadier and chief who were pioneers of transatlantic aviation. O'Hara went on to retire a few years after the couple's marriage. Blair died tragically in an airplane crash in 1978. This ended O'Hara's happiness. The same year, she was also diagnosed as having uterine cancer . She had undergo surgery immediately. The cancer eventually cleared. She was diagnosed with six heart attacks, short-term memory loss, and diabetes type 2 in the following years. O'Hara, who was 95, passed away peacefully in Boise on October 24, 2015.
