Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kuniz was born Milena Kuris on August 14, 1983 in Chernivtsi. Kunis seven years old immigrated to the United States along with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. The family eventually settled in Los Angeles. The Kunis family was not able to get into America with the sum of $250. Kunis' parents, who both gave up their professional jobs to relocate to a better location for their children, were determined to provide a better future for their family. Mark was a mechanical engineer, quickly was employed as a taxi driver, and Elvira was a teacher of Physics in Ukraine and later became the manager of a pharmacy. Kunis said, "I didn’t understand the culture" when he arrived in the United States. "I did not understand the people. I was not conversant in the language. The first sentence in my essay for admission to college was like"Imagine being blind and deaf at age 7.' It was very similar experience to the feeling of being a newcomer to the States. It wasn't an easy transition. Milena Markovna Kunis was born the 14th of August, 1983 to Mark Kunis and Elvira in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. She has an elder brother. Her mother is a pharmacist and an instructor of physics. Her father is a mechanical engineer professional. He doubles up as a driver of taxis. She is Jewish. Her family moved from Israel to Los Angeles when she turned seven. Rosewood Elementary School was her first option. When she was nine, she started acting lessons. She auditioned for commercials, and made her TV debut in 1994 with her first appearance in Days of Our Lives. In 1998, she was offered her first big role as 'Jackie Burkhart' in the hit sitcom "That '70s" show'.After the acclaim about her performance in the role of 'Jackie' she was cast in the role of 'Meg Griffin' in the animated sitcom "Family Guy".
