Paula Faris

Paula Faris, an American journalist, was previously a TV correspondent for ABC News. Her most well-known work is her role as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 to 2018 and as co-host of The View from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, she was co-anchoring World News Now as well as America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Because of the lack of opportunities in television, she was offered an opportunity as an agent for radio sales. She was hired as a WRGT/WKEF production assistant, and later became a reporter and anchor. From 2002 to 2005 she was the weekend sports anchor as well as the sports anchor for weekdays at the station WCPO in Cincinnati. Her contract was terminated , and she became a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 until December 2011. In December 2011, it was announced that she was hired by the news division of ABC, ABC News. Her debut on the network was on the 2nd of January, 2012 on ABC's World News Now, and America This Morning. She was also on Good Morning America's fill-in show, Good Morning America, starting on January 2, 2012. Later she was promoted to New York-based correspondent for every ABC News programs. She was host of America This Morning and World News Now's final episode on January 22nd, 2013. On August 9, 2014, she made her debut as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend, following the departure of Bianna Golodryga. The latter was transferred to Yahoo! News. On the 25th of August, 2015, ABC announced that she would join The View as a co-host for season 19. The contract was renewed by ABC to run the 20th season on August 3. Season 21 was also the first season she was renewed as co-host. In the 21st and 22nd seasons, she mostly appeared during the show's Friday shows.
