Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on 5 September 1973 was an American actress. McGowan's
debut film appearance was in the comedy Encino Man (1992), however she was
recognized for her performance in The Doom Generation (1995) which earned her
an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance. McGowan's
first film appearance was in the horror film Scream in the year 1996. Later,
she was the main character in Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998) and
Going All the Way (1997). McGowan's portrayal of Paige Matthews on the WB
supernatural drama Charmed (2001-2006) was the most well-known part of her
career. Quentin Tarantino directed her double-feature film Grindhouse (2006)
which was the film in which she received the Saturn Award for Best Actress and
the Scream Award to Best Scream Queen. She was featured in the action-thriller
series Chosen (2014) and released her debut album, Planet 9, in 2018 and was
followed by a revamp in 2020. McGowan was dubbed one of the Silence Breakers in
2017 by Time magazine. This honor recognizes McGowan's advocacy on sexual
assault and harassment especially with regards to Harvey Weinstein cases of
sexual abuse as well as the Me Too movement. In 2018, she released Brave, a
memoir, as well as appeared in Citizen Rose, a four-part documentary series.
