Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. Anne W. Burrell is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has worked in many of the best eateries in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy and competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied to earn an English degree as well as a communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. She states "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America student. I enjoyed every moment." I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy, which has influenced her cooking style. Burrell is a well-known ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids with disabilities. Burrell is often a guest presenter at conferences, and she travels throughout the United States in her mentorship task. Anne has stated throughout her professional career that she feels so fortunate to be able share with others what is truly important for her.
